Increase of the official fees for filing a trademark applica Print
The Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property (SFIPI) granted the last few years a discount for filing trademark applications electronically in Switzerland. As 95 % of the trademark applications are now filed electronically the SFIPI does no longer grant this discount. From the beginning of next year (January 1, 2010) the official fees for filing a Swiss trademark application in up to 3 classes will be CHF 550.00 (approximately EURO 360.00 and approximately USD 540.00) instead of CHF 350.00. The 4th and each subsequent class will cost CHF 100.00 (approximately EURO 65.00 and approximately USD 100.00) instead of CHF 60.00. Kindly note that our fee for filing a Swiss trademark application will still be the same next year.
